Blount County

Blount County was formed in 1795 from part of Knox County which in turn was formed in 1791 from parts of Greene & Hawkins Counties. In 1870 part of Blount County was used to form Loudon County. The county seat is Maryville.

Campbell County

Decatur County

Decatur County was formed in 1845 from portions of Perry County. The county seat is Decaturville.

Franklin County

Grainger County

Hamblen County was formed in 1796 from parts of Hawkins and Knox Counties. The county seat Rutledge.

Greene County

Greene County was formed in 1783 from portions of Washington County.

Hamblen County

Hamblen County was formed in 1870 from parts of Jefferson, Grainger and Hawkins Counties. The county seat Morristown.
