He was born 25 June 1848 in Gordo, Pickens County, Alabama, and died 23 December 1918. Thomas is buried in Mount Pleasant Church, Cemetery, Gordo, Pickens County, Alabama.

B, 40th Alabama Infantry Regiment
, Alabama Volunteers from 1 March 1863 to 1 January 1864. He is
buried in Fellowship Church Cemetery, Pickens County, Alabama.
