MOSES EDWARD
GARNER [906] was born 16 April 1830 in
Tennessee, and died October 1872 in Jefferson County, Arkansas. He married ASENIA
CATHERINE FINCH on 19 October 1854 in Springhill, Faulkner County, Arkansas,
daughter of John Finch and Amanda Kennon. She was born 30 April 1841 in Georgia,
and died 6 August 1874 in Jefferson County, Arkansas. Moses served the CSA
during the Civil War. He enlisted as a Private in Company B, 2nd Arkansas
Infantry Battalion
, at Pine Bluff, Arkansas on 3 September 1861 and was present on 31 December
1861. He spent most of the war in Virginia. On 28 February he was absent
on detached service as guard on steamer Richmond. On 18 July 1862 he transferred
to Company I, 3rd Arkansas Infantry Regiment
. On 9 April 1865 he was listed as a
Prisoner of War of the Army of Northern Virginia and was paroled at Appomattox,
Virginia on 12 April 1865 when General Lee surrendered to General Grant.

ABNER ABERNATHY
GARNER [789] was born May 1832 in
Mississippi, and died between 1903 and 1908 in Grant County, Arkansas. He moved to
Arkansas with his parents in 1850 and between 1850 and 1860 the family lived in
Dallas, Hot Spring, Jefferson and finally Grant Counties. In June 1861 at the
age of 22 he traveled to Memphis, Tennessee and enlisted in Company K of the 2nd
Arkansas Infantry Regiment
, CSA. After the Civil War ended Abner settled in
Grant County and married his half-cousin
ANGELINA
N. MORRIS about 1866, daughter of Ethel Sumney Morris and Dorcas Stone, and the widow of Frederick Jacob Mayberry. She was born March 1832 in
Mississippi, and died after 1900. In 1900 three grandchildren children were living in the household; William, Rosa
and Artie. These were the children of William Mayberry, son of Angelina and her
first husband Fredeick Jacob Mayberry, Abner is buried in Davis
Cemetery. In 1870 Andrew Derryberry, born about 1854 in Tishomingo County, son
of Andrew Derryberry and Melicia Glassco, lived with them in Grant County,
Arkansas.

7. DOLLY GARNER [873] was born about 1841, and died about 1875 in Grant County, Arkansas. She married ETHEL SUMNEY MORRIS, son of Thomas Gancer Morris and Delilah 'Dilly' Brown, between 1856 and 1860 in Mississippi. He was born about 1808 in North Carolina and died June 1879 in Grant County, Arkansas. He was a farmer. This was his second marriage.

FRANKLIN L. LOWRY on 2 June 1869 in Tippah County,
Mississippi, son of ISIAH LOWRY and SARAH GATLIN. He was born 1 February 1848 in Tippah County, Mississippi, and died 30 August 1919 in Pulaski County, Arkansas.
Franklin served the Confederacy in Co. A "Mississippi Greys" of the 22nd
Mississippi Cavalry Regiment. Paralee and Franklin are buried in Landmark Church
Cemetery, Pulaski County, Arkansas.
