She was born 15 August 1879 in Greenville, Hunt County, Texas, and died 17 May 1956 in Farmersville, Collin County, Texas and was the daughter of Dr. N. L. HACKWORTH and MARTHA LANE. William was a farmer. They moved to Hunt County, Texas, then Tarrant County, Texas, then to Bryan County, Texas and finally to Collin County, Texas.

He married PEARL CHRISTINE NOWEL on 2 October 1902. She was born 14 September 1884 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas, and died 4 April 1963 in Texas. John was a farmer. John and his family lived with his brother William in Tarrant County, Texas in 1910. They moved to Durant, Bryan County, Oklahoma by 1918 where he registered for the World War I draft. John had blue eyes and dark hair.
