He married (1) Martha Vaught before 1911. He married (2) Martha Frances Patterson on 22 September 1911 in Arkansas, daughter of Solomon Patterson and Elizabeth Cowan. She was born 27 February 1888 in Fallsville, Newton County, Arkansas, and died about 15 December 1982 in Davenport, Lincoln County, Oklahoma. They moved from Clarksville, Johnson County, Arkansas to Davenport. Lincoln County, Oklahoma in 1923 and to Sparks, Lincoln County, Oklahoma in 1929. Thomas' obituary was published on 27 January 1972 in the Lincoln County News, Chandler, Lincoln County, Oklahoma.
