ACORD [1435] was born
about 1825. She married GEORGE
W.
CAMPBELL about 1841 in Madison County, Alabama. Luvica died on 8 April 1850 after a
long and painful illness. After her death her children went to live with her
father David Acord. Three years later George married her sister Latitia. George
was a member of he Huntsville City Police Force.

in the 1850 Madison County census (5 November 1850) with wife Louisa b. about
1825 in Alabama and a number of children ranging in ages from 4 to 12. In the
same census a G.W. Campbell is listed with wife Kisiah b. abt 1826 in
Tennessee with two children ages 1 and 4.

married ALMIRA 'ELLEN' [last name
unknown] about 1856. She was born about 1834 in Alabama. Jonas
was a carpenter by trade. Jonas is married in Maple Hill Cemetery, Huntsville,
Alabama.

CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS
'COLUMBUS' ACORD/ECHARD [8005] was born 25 December 1837 in Madison County, Alabama and died 7 April 1915 in
Huntsville. Madison County, Alabama. During the Civil War he served as
a Private in Captain Ward's
Battalion, Alabama Light Artillery having enlisted in Huntsville,
Alabama. This battery was immediately attached to the
1st Alabama Artillery Battalion at Fort Morgan in the defense of Mobile. Columbus served there until April 1864 when the unit
was assigned to G. S. Storr's Battalion of Artillery , Army of Tennessee, and
fought at Kenesaw Mountain and in various battles around Atlanta. He was
captured at Caswell Georgia and sent to Rock Island prison. He was released just prior to the surrender at Appomattox. Columbus returned to Madison County and
married GEORGIANNA [last name unknown] also known as "Ann"
or "Dink". She was born
5 July 1847 and died 3 December 1926 in Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama.
Apparently, they lived their entire lives in Huntsville. They
are both buried in block 10 row 11 at Maple Hill Cemetery, Huntsville, Madison
County, Alabama.

about 1840 in Madison County, Alabama. During the Civil War he served as
a Private in Captain Ward's
Battalion, Alabama Light Artillery.
This battery was immediately attached to the

Madison County. William married MARY A. LEWIS on 22 December 1880 in Madison
County, Alabama.
