3. MARK HARDIN [6100] was born about 1739 in Prince William County, Virginia, and died November 1817 in Warren County, Georgia. He married (1) MARY HESTER HUNTER in 1754 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. She was born about 1736 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, and died 1794 in Warren County, Georgia. He married (2) MARTHA FRANCES NEWSOME in 1794 in Warren County, Georgia. She was born about 1776 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, and died after 1813 in Georgia.

4. Col. WILLIAM EVERETT HARDIN [6227] was born 25 April 1741 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, and died 4 March 1810 in Franklin County, Georgia. He married SARAH BLEDSOE about 1762 in Johnston County, North Carolina. She was born about 1744 in North Carolina, and died 2 February 1843 in College Hill, Lafayette County, Mississippi. William served as a Colonel during the Revolutionary War. After the war he settled in Franklin County, Georgia where he became a principal planter and political leader in that community. In 1800 he owned 14 slaves and 400 acres along the Tugalo River.
