2. William Corbit
'Corbit" Sexton [4229]
was born 9 April 1897 in Kentucky (probably Rockcastle County), and died 17 December 1945 in Hunt, Johnson County,
Arkansas. Corbit was described as a very limber youth. A friend related that
when they were teenagers they used to go to a swimming hole near Hunt. The other
kids talked Corbit onto sitting on a rock next to the water and putting both
legs behind his head. He lost his balance and fell into the water. He couldn't
untangle his legs and get his head above water and would have drowned if friends
hadn't pulled him out. In 1918 he worked for his father and registered for the
World War I draft. He married

wife and children. Rosie wanted all her descendents to call her Mommy. Son
