Angelina N. Morris [681]
was born about 1836 in Mississippi, and died after 1900. She married (1)
Frederick Jacob Mayberry about 1854 in Jefferson County, Arkansas, son of
Jacob Mayberry and Elizabeth Morris. He was born about 1830 in Henderson County,
Tennessee, and died in 1860. She married (2)
Abner Abernathy Garner about 1861, son of Abner and Rebecca Garner. He was
born May 1832 in Mississippi, and died between 1903 and 1908 in Grant County,
Arkansas. In 1900 three grandchildren, John Rosa and Artie Mayberry, children of
Angelina's eldest son William E. Mayberry lived with them. Abner served the
Confederacy during the Civil War enlisting in Company K of the
2nd
Arkansas Infantry Battalion as a Private on 26 June 1861 in Memphis, Tennessee.
He served at least through 31 October 1863l. Abner applied for a Confederate
Pension on 29 April 1903.
