in Sanford, Lee County, North Carolina. He married Clarkey Ann Cockman on 9 November 1860 in Moore
County, North Carolina, daughter of Sampson Cockman and Elizabeth 'Betsy' Wallace. The
ceremony was performed by W. B. Richardson, JP. She was
born 13 August 1842 in Moore County, North Carolina, and died 8 October 1919 in Ramsuer,
Randolph County, North Carolina.

was born 11 August 1842 in Moore County, North Carolina, and died 9 November 1921 in
Moore County, North Carolina. He married Laveda Jane Wallace on 25 August
1861 in Moore County, North Carolina. The ceremony was performed by C. M. Anderson, Minister. She was
born 12 January 1844 in Moore County, North Carolina, and died 13 December 1918 in Moore
County, North Carolina.

George Bruce Horner [1406]
was born 4 March 1862 in Moore County, North Carolina, and died 20 January 1892
in Moore County, North Carolina. He married Mary Louise Stutts. She was
born 30 August 1864 in Moore County, North Carolina, and died 16 August 1908 in
Moore County, North Carolina. George was murdered. He was shot on Sunday night,
10 January 1892 by John McInnis, at Calvin Mcinnis' turpentine distillery, near
West End. He was shot 3 times in the abdomen, head and thigh. Both George Horner
and John McInnis were employees of Calvin McInnis and worked at the distillery.
They had a quarrel about their work a few days before the shooting, but had
apparently made friends. They got to drinking on the 10th and the old quarrel
was revived, with the above result. Horner lingered until the 20th leaving
behind his 18 day old son and wife.
