1. John C. Horner [16501] was born 16 August 1823 in North Carolina, and died 22 May 1903 in probably Durham County, North Carolina. He married Elizabeth Thompson on 12 July 1849, daughter of Elsie Thompson. She was born 23 April 1823 in North Carolina, and died 29 May 1903 in probably Durham County, North Carolina. John and Elizabeth are buried in Mt. Lebanon Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Durham County, North Carolina.

  1. Mary E. Horner, born about 1848 in Orange County, North Carolina.
  2. Frances Horner, born 1850 in Orange County, North Carolina, married [first name unknown] Darity; died 1877; buried in Mount Lebanon Primitive Church Cemetery, Durham County, North Carolina.
  3. Susan Horner, born about 1853 in Orange County, North Carolina.
  4. Cadwalader W. 'Cad' Horner, born 17 December 1854 in Orange County, North Carolina, married Mary L. [last name unknown]; died 4 April 1944; buried in Mount Sylvan Cemetery, Durham County, North Carolina.
  5. Catherine Horner, born about 1857, Orange County, North Carolina.
  6. James E. Horner, born 2 August 1859 in Orange County, North Carolina; died 19 December 1935; married Mary L. [last name unknown]. Both buried in Mount Lebanon Primitive Baptist Cemetery, Durham County, North Carolina.
  7. Roger Horner, born about 1861.
  8. Robert D. Horner, born November 1862 in Orange County, North Carolina.
