Thomas
W. Kendall [6621]
was born May 1859 in Hartman, Johnson County, Arkansas, and died 15 March 1939 at the home of his son Dane Kendall in Johnson County, Arkansas. He married
Mary B. 'Mollie' Armstrong on 3 November 1891 in Johnson County,
Arkansas. She is the daughter of John M. Armstrong, the first elected Sheriff of
Johnson County. She was born 21 June 1868 in Spring, Hill, Arkansas, and died
26 April 1928. As a young man Thomas taught school at Coal Hill and Spring Hill.
Thomas was a farmer and businessman and in 1909 was elected as the Johnson
County Representative to the Arkansas State Legislature, serving two terms. He
built and operated one of the first gins in Johnson County. Thomas has been
described as a "courtly gentleman of Smeadley." He later was
employed in the store of Sam Laser and Captain John C. Hill. Thomas' sister "Deena"
lived with them in Johnson County, in 1920. In 1930, after Mary's death, Thomas
moved to Clarksville and was a roomer in the home of Anderson Michael, an
English immigrant. Thomas and Mary are both buried in Oakland Cemetery, Clarksville, Johnson
County, Arkansas.

Robert S. Kendall [1331]
was born 20 November 1864 in Arkansas, and died 21 October 1902 in Johnson County, Arkansas. He married
Mallie Jane Melvina McDaniel, daughter of William Bowman McDaniel and
Elizabeth L. Ogilvie, on 27 December 1895 in Johnson County, Arkansas. Mallie's
daughter was a veteran of the Civil War and Deputy Sheriff of Johnson County. She was born
16 January 1873 in Johnson County, Arkansas, and died
20 August 1945 in Johnson County. After Robert died, Mallie and her children moved back in
with her father. They are both buried in Kendall Cemetery, Johnson County, Arkansas.

Green D. Kendall [1332]
was born February 1870 in Arkansas, and died after 1939. He married Claudia
Cherry on 17 February in Johnson County, Arkansas. She was born
August 1874 in Arkansas, the daughter of Albert G. and Mary E. Cherry. Green was a
carpenter. They lived in Sebastian County in 1900 and moved back to
Franklin County by 1910 then back to Sebastian County, by 1920. The following articles appeared in the local
Clarksville newspapers...

Kendall
Miss Allen Kendall very
pleasantly entertained in honor of her cousin, Miss Cherry Kendall at the home
of Mrs. Rogers on College Hill. Games of various kinds were enjoyed throughout
the evening, also a 'beheading' contest was puzzled over. The most lucky
beheaders proved to be Miss Fleta Thompson and Mr. Roscoe McPherson who
received a box of delicious candy. At a late hour the guests were invited to
the dining room where refreshments were served. The guests were Misses Rillie
Lasar, Maxie Covington, Fleta Thompson, Jane Everett Morns, Cherry Kendall,
Claudie Allen and Alma Ross, Messrs. Rogers McKennon, King Basham, Orville
Arrington, Odus Wilkinson, Denver Misenheimer and Roscoe McPherson.
