1. Col. William Horner [16707] was born 30 August 1793 in Orange County, North Carolina, and died 30 July 1867. He married Sarah Parker on 22 November 1819 in Orange County, North Carolina. Surety was provided by Jonathon J. Carrington. She was born about 1795 in Orange County, North Carolina, and died before 1850.

Children of William Horner and Sarah Parker are:

  1. Eveline Horner, married Joseph Martin (Hicks?), 15 July 1840, Granville County, North Carolina; born 17 April 1815. They had no children.
  2. Julia A. Horner, born 1820, Orange County, North Carolina; married George J. Rowland, 22 September 1840, Orange County, North Carolina. Surety provided by L. Kendall, 29 September 1840.
  3. James Hunter Horner, born 1822 in North Carolina; died 1892.
  4. Thomas J. Horner, born about 1825 in North Carolina.
  5. Eliza Horner, born about 1830, North Carolina

2. Mary 'Polly' Horner [2518] was born about 1794 in Orange County, North Carolina, and died 30 December 1853 in Orange County, North Carolina. She married Col. Abner Parker, M.D. on 12 December 1817 in Orange County, North Carolina, son of David Parker and Clara Mangum. James Parish provided surety, bond #000099691. Abner was born about 1795 in Orange County, North Carolina, and committed suicide 27 December 1854. He was reportedly deeply afflicted by the loss of all of his children by consumption, and the death of his wife a year ago and he suffered symptoms of apoplexy which preyed on his mind. Mary and Abner are both buried in Parker-Davis Cemetery, Durham, County, North Carolina.

  1. Elizabeth E. Parker, born 10 February 1820 in Orange County, North Carolina; died 9 January 1847 of pulmonary consumption in at the home of her father in Orange County, North Carolina. She married Ludolphus Henderson on 3 May 1837 in Orange County, North Carolina; born about 1816 in Caswell County, North Carolina; died 11 July 1847 in Moore's Creek, Orange County, North Carolina of congestive fever.

  2. Lucy P. Parker, born about 1826 in Orange County, North Carolina; d. 13 April 1842; m. John H. Young.
  3. William D. C. Parker, born 14 October 1838; died 20 March 1846 in Red Mountain, Orange County, North Carolina. Burial: Parker-Davis Cemetery, Durham, County, North Carolina
  4. Mary A. Parker, born about 1839 in North Carolina; died before 1847.
  5. James A. Parker, born about 1842; died before 1846.
