WAP Edition now Available. Do you have a web-enabled phone or PDA? Portions of our research database are now available on these devices by using the built-in microbrowser to go to larkcom.us/ancestry. I developed the WAP Edition so that I would have ready access to research data from cemeteries, libraries or any place where I may not have access to a computer. It has only been tested with the Motorola MPx200 phone running Microsoft SmartPhone 2002. If you have a different phone your feedback will help with continued development. Also, I am very interested in how others might use this new technology. If you find this feature useful please drop me an email.

Most Wanted

Parents of Abner Garner. Abner was born in the early 1790's, probably in North Carolina. The first official record we have is his marriage to Margaret Hardin in 1815 in Knox County, Tennessee. He later stated in a Land Warrant affidavit that he served during the war of 1812 in the Tennessee Militia in and around Knox County.

Recent Findings

According to living relatives, Uriah Wilson Garner is not in the Garner bloodline. His original surname was Moore. He came to live with Abner Garner and Angeline Morris when very young and just assumed the Garner name. There was no legal adoption. We are unable to prove this. The earliest record found thus far is the 1880 Grant County, Arkansas census. Uriah is eight years old and listed as Abner's son.
