Company B

Abner Edgmon (1842-1863) Private. Son of Braxton Edgmon and Mary Ann Casey. Enlisted in the Company B of the 4th Arkansas Infantry Regiment (State Troops) in Huntsville, Arkansas on 22 May 1861. This unit disbanded on 20 August 1861 and he enlisted in Company A, 3rd Arkansas Infantry Regiment. He served there for nine months then on 9 Aug 1862 and mustered into Company E of Adam's Arkansas Infantry Regiment. He was captured at the Battle of Prairie Grove and held in St. Louis, Missouri. He was paroled on 14 January 1863 and enlisted in the 7th Arkansas Calvary Regiment. He was killed in action on 26 May 1873.
