3rd Tennessee Infantry Regiment (Clack's), CSA

Participated in the battles of Fort Donelson, Chickasaw Bayou, Port Hudson, Itaymond, Jackson, Chickamauga, Resaca, Franklin and Bentonville.

Company I

Isaac N. Black (1842-1926) Lieutenant. Son of Isaac N. Black and Susan A. Williamson, husband of Julia M. Brashear. Was severely wounded in the Battle of Chickamauga, wounded at the Battle of Resaca and slightly wounded at the battles of Franklin and Bentonville. After the war he attained his medical education and practiced medicine in Perry County, Tennessee.
