Robert Ruggin decalared that at the house of Lewis Williams, of Lawnes Creek Parish, late deceased, heard Mrs. William say that her husband, before he died, gave his son to William Newsom, and his girl to Sion Hill and his wife and daughter-in-law named Mary to Mr. Thompson and the others of his daughter-in-law to the disposing of his
wife. The wife died and the child went to Mrs. Edwards.
